Bosch Healthcare Enters into Telehealth Initiative with CMO

Palo Alto, CA-based Robert Bosch Healthcare, Inc. has joined forces with the Care Management Company (CMO) LLC, to introduce the Bosch Health Buddy® System at Montefiore Medical Center as a part of a telehealth project that will help monitor nearly 6,600 elderly and chronic care Medicare beneficiaries of Bronx. The initiative is supported by grants from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) under its Care Management for High-Cost Beneficiaries Demonstration (CMHCB), which is aimed at assessing various methods for enhancing care for patients who depend on extensive social and medical services. Garrahan Pediatric Hospital designed to enable the remote delivery of healthcare services across several Argentine provinces. Powered by the Cisco® collaborative technologies, like Cisco Unified Communications and Cisco TelePresence™, the project is also supported by Telefónica, an integrated telecommunications vendor, and Castro Rendón Hospital. GE Healthcare to Direct Hungarian Government’s Collaborative Research Initiative on Home Healthcare Solutions

GE Healthcare has entered into a three-year US $4.2 million contract with the Hungarian government to lead a collaborative research, which is aimed at developing new technologies for the government’s home healthcare program for elderly citizens. GE will lead an extensive group of organizations across the private and public sectors to bring together academic institutions and healthcare technology vendors. In addition, GE will also chip in HUF 238 million (US $1.1 million) for the program, which is likely to start in 2008. Read more
Cerner and University of Missouri Partnership Receives CHIME Award for Technology-driven Medical Home Project
