HL7 Introduces New Implementation Guides for its Clinical Document Architecture

GE Healthcare to Direct Hungarian Government’s Collaborative Research Initiative on Home Healthcare Solutions

GE Healthcare has entered into a three-year US $4.2 million contract with the Hungarian government to lead a collaborative research, which is aimed at developing new technologies for the government’s home healthcare program for elderly citizens. GE will lead an extensive group of organizations across the private and public sectors to bring together academic institutions and healthcare technology vendors. In addition, GE will also chip in HUF 238 million (US $1.1 million) for the program, which is likely to start in 2008. Read more

The strategic move comes from Perot Systems’ aim to widen its services in the physician practice group market. As per the acquisition terms, all Tellurian associates across Tellurian’ Newton, NJ and Los Angeles, CA offices will be absorbed into Perot Systems. ACS Secures Five-year $44 Million Contract with State of Florida

(ACS) has entered into a five-year contract with Florida’s Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) to manage a Third Party Liability (TPL) program for Florida Medicaid. The new $44 million contract is aimed at potentially cutting Medicaid costs for the state through the proactive identification of alternate sources of liability, and augment recovery from liable third parties.
