IBA to Acquire Medication Management Vendor HATRIX

IBA Health Group Limited has entered into an A$15 million (US $10.8 million) agreement to acquire HATRIX Pty Ltd, a provider of medication management solutions. Under the terms of the acquisition, which is expected to complete in the upcoming days, HATRIX shareholders will initially receive a consideration of A$2 million (US$1.4 million) and will further be paid an A$13 million (US$9.3 million) earn-out in cash or in the form of shares at IBA’s election, over the coming three years. Express Scripts to Acquire WellPoint Subsidiary

St. Louis, Missouri-based Express Scripts Inc. and Indianapolis-based WellPoint Inc., have entered into an agreement, by virtue of which, Express Script will acquire the latter’s NextRx subsidiary for a deal value worth $4.675 billion. Depending on the transaction structure, the deal value will also include consideration for future tax benefits for the acquirer. Read more
