Ingenix Chosen by the State of Washington to fight Medicaid Fraud

Minnesota-Based Ingenix, through a $19 million, five-year contract, has been roped-in by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) in their efforts to identify and prevent Medicaid fraud, waste and abuse. Alert: Qatar Ministry of Health Awards Contract for Health Information Integration Engine

In a move to improve the quality of care for patients through the proper integration of health data, the Ministry of Health in Qatar has roped in Healthcare Solutions® (HCS), a UAE-based provider of healthcare solutions, to supply and deploy, an HL7 compliant interface engine. As per the contract terms the vendor will also provide training and support services for the engine. The contract was inked in order to bring about streamlined flow of vital information between healthcare information systems, picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) and blood analyzers, deployed at the Medical Commission facility. The financial terms of the transaction were undisclosed. The agreement marks the merging of Emdeon’s pharmacy operations with eRx’s technology and services offering, and the former leveraging eRx’s growing clientele, and recognition for its product innovation, pharmacy switching technology and customer support.
